Steps for Norton Product Activation
To access Norton features, you need to activate the product. The steps to activate Norton product is given below:

2. Launch the Installed Norton product by clicking-twice on its icon.
3. Click on Enter Norton Setup Product Key.
4. Type the 25 digit alpha-numeric product key in the box.
5. Click on the Activate button.
6. After the activation window, you need to follow the onscreen prompts to complete the activation process.
Norton Product Key
There are different ways to find your product key depending upon your situation. In most cases, you do not need the product key to update your Norton subscription. If your Norton device security product is expired or shows incorrect subscription days, then you may need to download the product from your account which has the current subscription.
If you see a message "Invalid Product Key" while activating, read Message "Invalid Product Key".
If you are from China, Japan, or Korea, your product key can be found in the second email that is sent with the purchase information.
HOW TO FIND YOUR PRODUCT KEY
You can find your product key based on how you obtained your Norton product. Choose one of the following:
NORTON UTILITIES PREMIUM OR NORTON UTILITIES ULTIMATE
If you see the message "Error 2: Activation Key Not Recognized..." when activating Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate, read Error: "Error 2: Activation Key Not Recognized..." when activating Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate.
1. Sign in to your account.
2. In the My Subscription page scroll down, under Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate, you can find the product key.
Write down or copy the product key.
3. Open Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate.
4. Click Activate Now.
5. Enter the Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate product key and click Activate now.
If you see any errors while activation, it is likely that the product key you have entered is incorrect or it is for a different product. Check if the product key is entered correctly and try activating again.
Norton account
1. At the top of your Norton product window, click Help > My Norton.
If you cannot start your Norton product, you can directly go to your Norton account.
2. In the My Subscription tab, select your Norton product.
Copy the product key.
Norton Online Store
If you downloaded your product from Norton Online Store, the product key, or the instruction to obtain the product key is in your confirmation email message.

DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL YOUR NORTON PRODUCT
Download and install your Norton product from your account
1. Sign in to your account.
2. If you are not signed in to your account already, you will be prompted to sign in. Type in your email address and password, and click Sign In.
3. In the My Norton window, click Download.
4. Click Agree & Download.
5. Do one of the following depending on your browser:
• For Windows: Press Ctrl + J key, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.
• For Mac: Press Command + Option + L, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.
6. If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. Your Norton product is now installed and activated.
Download your Norton Product purchased from a Retail Store
To install the Norton device security product that you purchased from a retail store or a third-party affiliated website, create a Norton account or add the purchased product to your existing account.
• If you are from China, Korea or Japan, you need the product key for the purchased product to create an account. You can find the product key in the purchase confirmation email that you received.
If you already have a Norton subscription, you can install it on your device by signing in to your account. For more details, read Download and Install your Norton device security.
ADD THE PURCHASED PRODUCT TO YOUR ACCOUNT AND INSTALL YOUR NORTON PRODUCT
During the setup process, you are offered to enroll to an automatically renewing subscription. For more details about automatically renewing subscriptions, read Learn more about your automatically renewing subscription.
1. From your web browser, go to norton.com/enroll.
2. Click Sign in.
If you do not have an account, click create a new account and complete the sign-up process.
3. In the Get Started page, click Enter A New Product Key.
4. Type the product key and click >.
Your product key is a combination of alphabetic and numeric characters. It does not contain any special characters.
If you purchased a boxed product online or at a local retail store, your product key is inside the box either on a sticker, or printed on a card in the box.
Your subscription begins when you enter the 25-character key found on your product card or order confirmation email.
If you see the message "Invalid Product Key", read Message: "Invalid Product Key".
5. Read the License and Services Agreement and click Agree.
6. In the Annual Automatic Renewal Authorization page, update your billing address and credit card details.
7. Read the Subscription and Automatic Renewal Payment Authorization and click Turn on Automatic Renewal or Start Subscription.
8. Click Agree & Download.
• If you have more than one Norton product in your account, choose the product that you want to download and then click Next.
• If you are Norton Security Platinum customer, choose the product that you want to install and then click Next.
• If the product that you desire to download is not visible in the list, click Load More.
9. Follow the instructions displayed to Run or Save the Downloader file. These can be different depending on your browser. If you save the file, make sure that you double-click the file from the saved location after the download is completed.
Once the Norton installer is executed, your product is downloaded, installed, and activated automatically. Your device displays its current protection status and additional software can be installed from within your account.
COMMON MISTAKES WHEN ENTERING PRODUCT KEY
• Spaces in the product key will cause an error.
• Make sure you are entering license information for the specific product you are using. License information for one Norton product is not interchangeable with another product.
For example, you cannot use the product key for your Norton device security product to activate Norton Utilities Premium. You can find the product key for Norton Utilities Premium in the My Subscription page of your account.
• If you still see a message indicating incorrect or invalid licensing information, verify that you typed the license information exactly as shown.
Some characters (such as the number 0 and the letter O) can look very similar. Try double-checking the following: the letters O, l (lower-case l), I (capital I); and the numbers 0 (zero) and 1 (one).
